CAFP and TPMG Summit a Resounding Success
On November 14-15, 2008, the CAFP and The Permanente Medical Group (northern CA) held the first Family Medicine Summit. More than 100 invitees attended the session which included inspirational key note addresses from Robert Pearl, MD, CEO of TPMG and Richard Roberts, MD, JD, past president of the AAFP and president elect of WONCA.

CAFP Foundation Honors Educators, Researchers and Philanthropists
The CAFP Foundation Awards for excellence in education, research and philanthropy are given to family physicians who illustrate the very best of the profession. The roster of winners is long and distinguished. Among them are the 2009 winner of the Barbara Harris Award for Educational Excellence Carol Havens, MD, Kaiser Permanente Sacramento and Oakland.
